Annual Gala Dinner - 22nd of November 2018 at the Aurora Ballroom

AmCham Gibraltar is hosting its second annual Thanksgiving Charity Gala on Thursday 22nd of November at the Aurora Ballroom, Sunborn 5* Gibraltar and we are delighted to announce that our keynote speaker at the Gala will be Juan Verde.

Juan Verde is an internationally renowned strategist for both the private and public sectors. Mr. Verde designs innovative strategies to attract foreign investment, accelerate economic development and establish strategic alliances. Mr. Verde has worked with some of today's most relevant political figures such as former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. For his full biography please click here.

Gala tickets cost £100 per person and includes a delicious three course dinner with wine and dancing by the ever popular JetStream. We will also be holding an auction which includes items rarely available to the general public (see below). All proceeds from this gala will be donated to St. John Ambulance Gibraltar.

The following four items have all been kindly donated by The Advanced Leadership Foundation. It can be extremely difficult to acquire the passes as listed below if you are not a US citizen and the majority of these visits would normally have to be coordinated through the office of your congressman.

• Two passes for the Supreme Court of the United States. www.supremecourt.gov. Take the opportunity to watch history in the making at a hearing of the Supreme Court of the United States which has ruled landmark decisions on such topics as elections, discrimination, abortion etc. The Supreme Court of the United States is the highest court of the nation, it defines and sets the political and social course of the American nation and has paved the way for important advances that have been adopted throughout the globe. The opportunity to participate in Supreme Court Hearings is particularly sought after due to the limited amount of entrances available and the high interest these cases attract. The winner of this prize will obtain two passes in order to witness first-hand how Justice and Law are created in the United States.
  
  
• Two passes to Congress of the United States. The Congress of the United States www.house.gov brings together both the Senate and the House of Representatives and is the place where the people´s voice actively transforms the country and defines the future for the millions of people who call the United States home. The winner of this prize will obtain two passes to take part in a walking tour of Congress where they will be escorted throughout the various halls and meetings rooms where each day the voice of the American people is heard and democracy takes shape.
  
  
• Two passes for a tour of the White House. The White House www.whitehouse.gov is the home and seat of the Executive Branch of the United States´ federal government. For centuries its walls have built the home and office of each American president and hosted important gatherings of world leaders which have shaped our societies and world. The winner of this prize will obtain two passes to take part in a walking tour of the White House where they will be escorted throughout the different spaces which have witnessed the shaping of modern world history.
  
  
• Two passes for a tour of the Pentagon. The Pentagon is home the defense forces of the United States. From the Pentagon thousands of men and women work day after day in preserving stability and peace through the United States and the World. Each day humanity is exposed to an infinity of threats which are assessed and mitigated within these very walls in order to ensure that all of us, American and not, may live our lives in peace and safety. The winner of this prize will obtain two passes to take part in a walking tour of the United States Pentagon and get a glance at how world peace and stability is shaped and maintained.
