We remember with gratitude the lovely gatherings that we had in the beautiful setting of the Alameda Gardens and we look forward to the time when we will be able to celebrate all good things together again.
We didn't want Independence Day go without a mention however; so we have brought you a special message from Yael Lempert, Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy in London who brings us a message of joy and hope from Ambassador Johnson. Please find attached herewith.

American representatives of Sister Cities International visited Gibraltar on Thursday the 19th of April for the first time in the association's 62 years history this week, in a bid to foster relationship between the countries.
The event hosted yesterday by the Gibraltar American Chamber of Commerce saw the representative's on a fact finding mission. Forging links between the University of Gibraltar and it's American counterparts were of particular interest and Jane Cahaly from Sister Cities noted, "I'm very excited at trying to get the University of Gibraltar to form links between universities in the US. I work in a consortium of 44 universities in the US and we do International programming so getting to know the folks here in Gibraltar is extremely valuable". Ms Cahaly is currently the Senior consultant for International Programmes with the consortium for Global Education that sees thousands of students participate in overseas study.
It was a fantastic and incredibly insightful presentation into North Carolina's Economic Environment.
Special thanks to the panelists, James Lasry, AmCham Gibraltar President, Mary Clare Freeman from Alamo Solutions, our Co-Host Desiree McHard from BDO, @Andrew Montegriffo from Hassans Int. Law Firm, Colin Kiser, Luigi Mercuri and Archibald Astley-Corbett from the EDPNC.

In that speech, I spoke about how humanity, although far from perfect, has never been in such a good situation and therefore we should give thanks for that.
